Barberton Chicken
A delicious dish from the city of Barberton, which has won the nomination of the American capital of fried chicken. The dish is very tasty and delicious, was introduced in the U.S. city by two Serbian immigrants during the Great Depression and Milchael Smilka Topalsky, quite conspicuous because of debts, they sold their family farm, then opening a restaurant, the Belgrade Gardens (the Gardens of Belgrade), which presented a particular dish made of fried chicken, along with a vinegar-based cole slaw, a bowl of rice and a sauce of finely chopped tomato and fries. While you might think of an influence of dishes from the Old World, or even a dish of Serbia imported to America, on the other hand, there is no doubt that this is a very delicious dish that can tickle the palates most demanding of gourmets. |
