Dulce de Leche
Delicious dessert made with milk, dulce de leche is a typical Argentine sweet, Paraguay and Uruguay and is very popular in much of South America. The flavor is similar to fudge, dulce de leche is prepared by boiling milk for long periods and sugar until creamy. The flavor is delicious, the dulce the leche provides the basic recipe, a long boiling of milk and sugar, but regional variations are no other additional ingredients and is often used to garnish many sweets like cakes, cookies or ice cream, but can also be eaten with a spoon or spread on bread or toast. |
