Sicilian cannoli
Irresistible sweet flavor, the Sicilian cannoli are a delicacy that if time were eaten during the carnival, now adapt to any holiday, but that can be enjoyed at any time of year. A crispy dough surrounding a fresh cream cheese, small drops of chocolate, then garnished laterally with sweet red or green candied cherries that can sometimes be replaced with various other prlibatezze as pistachios and orange peel. Tasty to the point that, every year, are involved in a festival that is held annually in Piana degli Albanesi near Palermo in conjunction with the Carnival. |
