Morgantina
An archaeological site of the town of Aidone whose excavations have brought to light important remains such as the Venus of Morgantina (now kept at the local archaeological museum), and the treasure of Morgantina, which consists of 15 pieces of silver, was discovered by chance in 1998. Very well preserved, the archaeological site is a must for tourists who go on holiday in Sicily and for those who want to take a dip into the past to explore the life of the ancient local inhabitants, as many can testify findings as the remains of ancient buildings, the splendid theater, the agora and much more.
