Lago del Brugneto
Situated inside the Regional Park of the Antola among the municipalities of Propata, Torriglia and Rondanina, the lake of Brugneto is an artificial basin built in 1959. A fresh-umid climate surrounds the place, ideal to do autumn excursions when the lake shores magically become red. The lake deserves to be visited for the flora and the fauna that surround it.
The astonishing Brugneto's Lake, all things considered, is one of the most frequented Val Trebbia touristic attractions. In fact, there are several excursions' tracks which will let you do the ring road some metres far from the water, immersed in a very relaxing and picturesque environment.
Moreover, you'll be able to visit the walls of the dam, structure arised in the sixties to provision Genoa and Piacenza countries with water supplies. The view of the chutes is very thrilling. As if that wasn't enough, you can even find some local arcaeological founds: the Celtic houses, with their thatched roof. |
