Santa Croce Church
Santa Croce Church, going back to 1130, is the oldest one of the town and undoubtedly deserves to be visited; it' s in relationship with the Battle of Meloria (1284): some retaining rings of the chain which closed Pisa harbour had been walled up on a side of the church; they had been given by Genoa to the faithful Moneglia that shared with it in the undertaking. |
