The Historical Town Centre
Immersed in a probationary natural scenery with its original mediaeval structure, the village of Lerici shows praiseworthy peculiarities; the stately castle, built by the Pisan during the Middle Ages and rich in history, is a mediaeval italian military structure example and, nowadays, it is the most important monument of the place. Inside the castle, which today has been completely restored, you can find the particular St Anastasia's Chapel, built in the XIII century and, today, it includes the geopalaentological museum, unique in Europe for its scientific importance; but, Lerici is not only its castle: amongst the different culural environments there are the Jewish quarter, St Rocco's tower and Doria Palace.
The welcoming touristic hospitality, that you can find in the modern part of the place, is able to get itself with the wonderful ancient part. |
