A must for those who went on a visit to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the Pantheon was built as a temple to the gods of Olympus. A very impressive structure, so that Michelangelo regarded the monument as a work of angels and not of men, the Pantheon is the Roman work which has the highest number of firsts: in addition to being the best preserved, has the largest masonry dome throughout the history of architecture and is considered the forerunner of all modern places of worship. It is no coincidence that the Pantheon was the most copied and imitated works of antiquity.
