Meteora Monasteries
Located in a beautiful resort town of Greece, in the plain of Thessaly, are characteristic for these beautiful monasteries built on top of the bold cliffs. Today you can visit and not to be missed for those who went six monasteries in Meteora: Agios Stefanos, Agia Triada, Great Meteor, Varlaam, Roussanou and Agios Nikolaos, plus a seventh empty. A place where nature has really outdone herself by creating numerous natural rock on which towers were built precisely the monasteries (called meteors themselves) and you can get along staircases or dug into the rock.
