Zwiebelkuchen
If you want to delight your palate with taste and delicacy, the Zwiebelkuchen is certainly something for you: it is, in fact, an onion tart widespread and appreciated in the wine regions of Germany such as the Rhenish Hesse, the Palatinate, the Baden and Swabia. Made using steamed (or sweetly fried) onions, diced bacon, sour cream, eggs, cumin seeds and with a base of pastry, the Zwiebelkuchen is characterized by an intense flavor and is usually accompanied with a glass of Federweißer, a fine young wine, typical of German culinary tradition, characterized by a sour taste. |
