With chocolate, caramel and yet in other ways, the île float is a delicious dessert of French cuisine particular flavor: light and moderately sweet is widespread in the whole of France, and is commonly found in many bistros. If you have doubts about its origins, what is certain is that it is a delicacy unique to satisfy any palate at the conclusion of a lunch or dinner, as breakfast or as a snack at any time of the day. It is a delicious quenelle, (ie a mixture of various creams), of egg white and sugar blanched in boiling water briefly (a kind of soft meringue) and then placed to float on a basis of custard, from which its name île float.
