Pobiti Kamani
Literally, stone planted in the earth, it is a wonderful natural rock formation where nature has certainly outdone herself. Located 10 km from the remains of the largest Roman city in what is now Bulgaria, or Marcianopolis, Pobiti Kamani consists of unusual rocks, natural columns up to 6 meters high, covering an area of 253 hectares, and it is of hollow columns and filled with sand. Furthermore, in addition to the visible columns, we also present other columns that are hidden in the ground, arranged in three basement floors. If the origins of the phenomenon are not yet fully clarified (so that have been refitting two hypotheses about, for which according to one of two theories, the formations are the result of activities reef, while the other theory explains the phenomenon with l 'weathering of rocks, the formation of sand and calcareous concretions Eocene age), what is certain is that it is certainly a picturesque landscape where you can spend moments of relaxation. |
