A very delicious dish of white or brown beans typical of the traditional Serbian, Bosnian and Albanian cuisine, and now it's popular in many Balkan nations. Usually prepared with smoked meat like sausage or bacon, pork shank, or even pork chops on the bone, the dish is eaten especially during hot periods of the year because of the low fat content. Easy and quick to prepare, the dish puuò also include the use of onions and other spices, like paprika and pepper, to help enhance the flavor of pasulj. An addition of bay leaves along with the chopped tomato and white flour makes the dish really delicious. Sometimes, when the dough is used as an ingredient, are overwhelmed when preparing some beans to thicken the stew. A real treat for those who love good food.
