Typical food of Japanese cuisine, sushi is now spread all over the world, since (probably), Yonei Hanaia served on his desk morsels of rice flavored with vinegar over slices of raw fish. Since then, the sushi spread throughout Japan and around the world giving rise to numerous variations. Based mainly from fish, algae, plants or eggs, the sushi found numerous varetà of plates that may be composed from the same ingredients assembled in completely different manners, so as to achieve different effects. Characterized by a pleasant freshness, sushi has become popular even among older people and is ideal for a dinner with friends or after a hard day's work. |
