Borobudur
With 504 statues dedicated to the Buddha, many colossal blocks of stone and walls covered with bas-reliefs 2,672 of which 1,400 that tell the story, the Borobudur (or sometimes even Barabudur) is a majestic temple capable of attracting visitors thanks to the atmosphere magical and enchanting surrounding it: extended fields and forests enhance and accentuate the magnificence of the structure. Rightly compared to other colossal works of antiquity (such as the Pyramids of Giza), the temple has a square line and divided into steps and looks like a mountain in the eyes of the observer, in top view one learns complexity of the plant and its architectural structure, and it is no coincidence that the most visited monument in all of Indonesia. Do not miss during the hours of dawn, when visitors can enjoy a magnificent sun that seems to arise between each stupa containing a statue of Buddha. |
