Jiuniang
Born as a waste product of Miju, a Chinese wine made from rice, jiuniang is a delicious dessert typical of traditional Chinese cuisine made from fermented glutinous rice and yeast. A rice wine unfiltered, which still contains grains of rice integers and which is often flavored with fragrant flowers of osmanthus, thus taking the name of Guihua jiuniang. In addition, during the feast of Dongzhi is served together with Tangyuan, a Chinese dish made of glutinous rice flour that can usually be empty or filled, but during this festival it is customary to consume not stuffed. |
