Buddha's Delight
A delicious vegetarian dish logically of traditional Chinese cuisine which is usually worn by Buddhist monks, but that, because of the delicacy, has been growing popular worldwide. The dish is made using different vegetables and vegetarian ingredients, although sometimes there are also eggs or seafood. These ingredients are cooked in a liquid made from soy sauce, to which are added other seasonings and, as with the most popular dishes of the world, the delight of Buddha can find variations in ingredients which can vary depending on your personal taste , as well as according to the local traditions. The dish, which of course is part of the tradition of Buddhist culture, has ingredients, each of which is associated with an auspicious meaning: the sea moss, for example, is associated with prosperity, while the lotus seeds are associated with the birth of the children, lily buds, however, are an omen of 100 years of harmonious union and many others. |
