 Swazi candles
A true work of art suitable for a particular decoration or simply as a souvenir. Typical of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, these decorative candles handmade using the ancient technique Millefiori, a technique used by masters and who made Venetian glass beads and thus very valuable artifacts. Much sought after, these Venetian beads were traded on the African coast in exchange for gold and ivory, so that the people of Swaziland has adopted the Millefiori technique by applying it to candles, improving this technique over time: for the realization of these wonderful candles is used a special hard wax that lets you create colorful designs that make the candles beautiful and durable, unique in their kind. The Swazi candles, however, are also distinguished by the ability to create a totally romantic thanks to the light that filters from the shell, and it is no coincidence that the local craftsmen call it light in Africa. Furthermore, the candles Swazi (of which, inter alia, being handcrafted, there is no copy equal to the other), are also distinguished by another use, even when they have been consumed: their inner shell, in fact, can be re-used to scent the environment by inserting itself into the shell of tea or some fragrant flowers. |
