Guelta d'Archei
Located in the south-east of the town of Fada, the guelta of Archei is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and evocative of the Sahara and the world. Inhabited by numerous species of the guelta Archei is one of the places hosting the Nile crocodile: the small group of survivors in crocodiles Guelta of Archei represents one of the last known colony of this species in the Sahara. Here, among other things, is the area where caravans stop for water and to stop their camels. |
