Nian gao
Prepared and consumed, especially during the Lunar New Year holiday, the niang gao (sometimes referred to as Rice Cake, Cake of the Year Cake or Chinese New Year) is a delicious sweet dish of traditional Chinese cuisine based on glutinous rice, not randomly available in health food stores and supermarkets throughout Asia.
